Karen is an Economic Developer having been granted her certificate by Waterloo University and the Economic Developers Association of Canada. Karen has spent 20 years as a highly successful and award winning economic development professional. In the human resources field, she has designed and delivered seminars for people in various levels of transition ranging from individual assessment and counseling a post-psychiatric client base to designing and delivering business start-up seminars for employment transitional groups.

Taiwo (Tee) Ogunyemi is the founder and Managing Director of Regent Consulting (Bermuda) Ltd., a business consulting and financing brokerage office. He is also the Managing Director for Bermuda Universal Realty, a real estate company with particular focus as a Buyer’s Agency. In addition, he is a Certified Instructor for the ‘Streetwise MBA’ program which offers training for business owners and CEOs.
Prior to establishing Regent Consulting, Tee spent over 18 years in the Banking sector notably in the areas of Retail Banking, Operations and Corporate Credit. In the position of Vice president – Operations at Butterfield Bank, as Head of Business Banking, he significantly raised the Bank’s profile in the small and medium-sized business sector and fostered positive and profitable relationships within the business community.
Tee holds a BSc. (Hons) Degree in Estate Management as well as a Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) from Birkbeck College, University of London and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Webster University. Professional Designations include a Member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI) and Member of the Institute of Directors (MiOD). He currently serves as a director on the Board of two non-profit organizations.

Dr. Tony Schellinck is F. C. Manning Chair in Economics and Business at Dalhousie University and Principal and CEO of Focal Research Consultants Limited. He has a PhD in Consumer Psychology and Master in Systems Analysis and Mathematics. Tony has published articles and authoring texts in the areas of consumer psychology and research methods for thirty years. Over the last twenty years, he has conducted numerous industry and government sponsored surveys, focus groups and field experiments examining consumer behaviour, policy and practices. Since 1988 Tony and Tracy Schrans, his research partner at Focal, have co-authored 18 large-scale peer-reviewed government studies that have had an international impact for best practices and social policy. Tony is involved in the Informatics Initiative at Dalhousie University, responsible for an ongoing research program in the area of data-mining, measurement and constructs development, particularly related to consumer behaviour. He researches and develops new analytic techniques specifically suited for large consumer databases.
Tracy Schrans is Principal and President of Focal Research Consultants. She has an Honors degree in Social and Experimental Psychology, is a Certified Marketing Research Professional (CMRP), a Professional Moderator, and has completed advanced courses in qualitative & quantitative research methods, project management, analysis and data management. She is a guest lecturer at St. Mary’s University, Dalhousie University and Mount St. Vincent. Since 1988, Tracy has conducted research in the commercial and public sectors, regarding consumer behaviour, business policy and practices, regulatory compliance, with specific expertise in consumer tracking, behaviour measurement and applied research. She has published numerous papers and government reports. Tracy currently sits on various expert panels and consults nationally and internationally in the area of behavioral research, corporate social responsibility, consumer tracking and loyalty database analysis, outcome monitoring, social marketing and social policy research.
Dr. Jennifer Schellinck has a PhD in Cognitive Science, a BSc in Computer Science and BA in Philosophy. She is currently an adjunct professor at the Institute of Cognitive Science at Carleton University. She has experience applying and adapting existing statistical analysis techniques to novel model data in order to quantitatively understand individual behaviour within complex systems. For the last three years she has led projects that modeled behaviour and information within large organizations. Her experience includes gathering data through the use of questionnaires, structured interviews and a detailed analysis of existing organizational data.
